The invention relates to area of ferrous metallurgy. Method for determination of stability of austenite to phase transitions in steels includes heating of sample to temperature of austenization with following thermal treatment in single mode, at that one chooses one of physical-mechanical properties of steel sensitive to changes of chemical composition of steel, with determination of its value at sample testing and according to that value one determines stability of austenite to phase transitions with use of following relationship:= K·(C-C) +,where:– stability of austenite to phase transitions of steel sample being analyzed,C– value of chosen characteristic of physical-chemical properties of steel sample being analyzed,– value of stability of austenite chosen as minimal,C– value of chosen characteristic of physical-mechanical properties of steel with stability of austenite chosen as minimal,K – experimentally substantiated coefficient.Technical result from use of the invention is in its application for control of process of formation of structure and properties of steel roll instead of data of traditional chemical analysis. |
