FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed lathe comprises overhead post arranged above shop track to make front stock support on each side of said track furnished with main spindle and its main drive made up of synchro motor and reduction gear. Main spindle comprises circular table with centering appliances and rotary wheel pair grip appliances, at least one tool support arranged between two circular tables of front stock to clamp wheel machining tools, and one jack to be arranged on said track to lift wheel pair onto lathe to centering appliances and to down machined wheel pair onto shop track. Front stock main spindle reduction gear represents a multistage intermediate gear to transmit rotation to main spindle end turned from circular table. ^ EFFECT: higher reliability, lower costs of primary motion and servicing. ^ 9 cl, 3 dwg |
