PURPOSE: An air cleaner and an operation method thereof are provided to reduce the noise and the vibration generated from the air cleaner, and to stably operate the air cleaner. CONSTITUTION: An operation method of an air cleaner comprises the followings steps: detecting a first vibration amount when operating a blower fan, using a vibration sensor(S110); determining the amount is bigger than a first pre-fixed amount(S120); changing the operational state of the blower fan if the first vibration amount is bigger than the first pre-fixed amount(S200); and maintaining the operational state of the blower if the first vibration amount is less than the first pre-fixed amount(S130).
