PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a vehicle is provided to provide a driver with danger information when objects loaded on a vehicle are fallen to outside. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a vehicle is as follows. The weight of a first vehicle is sensed when a pre-set event is generated(S110). The weight of a second vehicle is sensed(S120). When the sensed weight of the second vehicle is lower than the weight of the first vehicle, guide information is created(S130). The created guide information is outputted(S140).
