A method for the differential diagnosis of somatoform disorders comprises the use of questionnaires followed by qualitative logical generalization of the parameters of psychophysiological state of the patient. The type of the adaptive response is assessed psychometrically. Then for the quantitative assessment of the data, the generalized differential diagnostic criterion is used. One of the following conclusions may be arrived at: undifferentiated somatoform disorder, somatized somatoform disorder, or diagnostically indeterminate situation. |
