A method for assessing the pattern of the cardiac cycle in the young schoolchildren aged 6-12 years provides for tetrapolar impedance rheoplethysmography. Several components characterizing cardiac cycle are assessed, namely the duration of cardiac cycle, mechanical and total systole, total diastole. The systolic components are measured, namely, tension period and its phases. The ejection period and phases of rapid and slow ejection are assessed. Several empirical indices and coefficients are calculated. The data are compared with the average values. The alterations of the parameters analyzed allow one for the assessment of the pattern of the cardiac cycle. |
