PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for preventing the non-display of an image in an image display device are provided to sense the abnormality of an image display device in advance in order to perform a correction operation. CONSTITUTION: An X board(160) is outputs the address voltage of an X electrode, and an Y board(150) outputs scan voltage to an Y electrode. A Z board(140) outputs sustain voltage to a Z electrode. In order to be proper to the timing such as horizontal and vertical operation signals, a control board(110) outputs an image signal to the X, Y and Z boards. A control unit(100) receives a signal for the abnormality of the sensed voltage of a sensing unit, and controls the application of a recovery algorithm. |
