The door (1) has a local reinforcement (4) extending from an internal liner (3) in a direction of an external skin (2). A stiffening beam(6) connects edges of the door with each other, and extends at the interior of a door envelope (10) defined by the internal liner and the external skin. The reinforcement has an indexing unit i.e. slider, with respect to the beam. The indexing unit displaces the reinforcement along and/or around the beam during assembling of the reinforcement at the interior of the door envelope. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a door.
