<p>The process of heat treating a weld joint, comprises heat treating the joint and maintaining the weld joint at 590[deg] C for 120 minutes in a furnace, and cooling the weld joint at 15-25[deg] C. The weld joint comprises 0.010-0.070 wt.% of carbon, 0.02-0.20 wt.% of silicon, 0.15-0.60 wt.% of manganese, 0.002-0.007 wt.% of phosphorous, 0.0013-0.0050 wt.% of sulfur, 7-13 wt.% of nickel, 0.002-0.012 wt.% of titanium, 0.005-0.018 of aluminum, and iron. After cooling step, the weld joint has an elasticity of 50 Joules measured at -196[deg] C. An independent claim is included for a process for arc welding a steel part containing nickel (6-13 wt.%).</p> |
