The invention relates to oceanographic measurements and mostly can be used for control of pollution of surface of open water reservoirs at implementation of ecological and environmental measures. The method of radar determination of pollution of sea surface is in fact that controlled area of surface is illuminated at azimuth angle α, with registration of scattered back signal, and by change of level of signal one reveals abnormal section of surface from which signal scattered back has the lowest level compared to background value of signal. After that controlled area is additionally illuminated at azimuth angle αat same angle of incidence of radio-waves, with registration of scattered back signal from abnormal and background sections. One determines ratios of signals from abnormal section obtained at radiation at azimuth angles αand α, and ratio of signals from background section obtained at radiation at azimuth angles αand α. By comparison of ratios of signals obtained one determines presence of pollution of surface under investigation. The invention increases probabilities of reveal of pollution and decreases probability of error alarms due to separation on radio-location images of sections formed by surface pollution and sections formed by variations of surface flow. |
