AN AUTOMATED MOLD FOR MANUFACTURING THE CONTACT LENS

PURPOSE: An automated mold for manufacturing a contact lens is provided to minimize an error rate by easily supplementing a monomer storing unit with monomers. CONSTITUTION: An automated mold for manufacturing a contact lens is composed of a male base curve(10) and a female front curve(20). When the base curve is coupled to the front curve, a contact lens forming unit(30) is formed. A monomer storing unit(35) is extended from the outer surface of the contact lens forming unit. An edge end unit(32) is formed in the end of the contact lens forming unit. When the bottom surface of the base curve is at right angles to the inner surface of the front curve, the cross-sectional shape of the edge end unit is formed at a right angle or an angle approximate to the right angle.
