FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of detecting objects (metal and non-metal) hidden under clothes involves irradiation of the surface of a human body with several spaced apart noise electromagnetic emitters with switched polarisation in a certain sequence. Reflected radiation is received by a matrix receiver successively in two polarisations. Such reception of radiation enables to obtain data giving information on dielectric properties of the object, which enables to distinguish metal objects from non-metal objects. The method of detecting objects under clothes is realised by a device consisting of a computer, a monitor and several single-type units containing noise generators which irradiate the entire surface of a human body successively on the vertical and horizontal polarisations, an objective lens which focuses radiation onto a receiving matrix with switched polarisers at the input. ^ EFFECT: irradiation method enables to obtain data which characterise polarisation characteristics of the object, relief properties and multiposition scattering, as well as attenuation of noise caused by mirror reflections and interference effects. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg |
