<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video projection device capable of displaying a high-quality stereoscopic video, while having a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: An image signal applying means 20 applies an image signal, where the left half of an image is for an image for the left eye and the right half of an image is for an image for the right eye to a projection means 22. The projection means 22 projects projection light having projection light for the left eye 24a for the left half and projection light for the right eye 24b for the right half. A refraction means 26 refracts the projection light for the left eye 24a and the projection light for the right eye 24b in the left and right directions, respectively so that the image for the left eye and the image for the right eye are superimposed and displayed in a target surface 4. The image for the left eye having first polarization characteristics and the image for the right eye having second polarization characteristics are superimposed and displayed by the polarizing filters 28a and 28b of a polarizing means 28.
