<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a position of a mobile device, without extracting a week number from a satellite signal. <P>SOLUTION: This method determines a series of device parameters defining the position of the mobile device from the signal received from the satellite, by assuming the above satellite orbit which depends on the above system time. By the system time which has one of a plurality of the week number candidates, each is executed. Suitable week number is chosen among the plurality of the week number candidates, the above system expression is solved based on the suitable week number designated as a series of decided device parameters. Herein, the selection of the suitable week number is performed by deleting at least several week numbers in which application of solution algorithm does not have a solution. A deviated value is assigned to any of the remaining week numbers.
