PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which has high external extraction quantum efficiency and a long light emission lifetime, a display device and a lighting device; and to provide, especially, an organic electroluminescent element which has high external extraction quantum efficiency and a long light emission lifetime, and prevents formation of a dark spot. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element, including at least one light-emitting layer sandwiched between an anode and a cathode, contains at least one Group VIII to X organic metal complex having a ligand including three aromatic five-membered rings and aromatic six-membered rings which may include a substituent or heterocyclic ring, and further contains at least one Group VIII to X organic metal complex having a ligand comprising one aromatic complex five-membered ring which may have a substituent and one aromatic six-membered ring.
