The invention discloses a wavelength division multiplexing network path search method and a system. The method includes: step A, a network element linked list is searched from a source network element of service to a destination network element according to the connection between the network elements; step B, a port searching is carried out on the network element linked list, a validity check is carried out on the searched nodes, and the searching is not continued from an invalid node any longer; step C, all available path linked lists are arranged according to the searched path topology structure data. The searching efficiency is improved by the present invention.
