<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize improvement of lamp life through restraint of deterioration of illuminance even in case a bright spot of an arc column of a high-pressure discharge lamp generated in lapse of time moves. <P>SOLUTION: Light emitted from the high-pressure discharge lamp 11 starting with generation of high-voltage startup pulse is made reflected at a first focus F1 through a reflector 17, and, with a second focus F2 converging the light reflected from the reflector 17 as a converging face, the converged light is guided from an irradiation face on a converging face of optical fiber 26. The high-pressure discharge lamp 11 is enabled to adjust positional relations with the reflector 17 by adjusting a horizontal direction with screws h1, h2, a vertical direction with screws v1, v2, and an axis direction with an adjustment lever 191, respectively. With this, the bright spot of the arc column of the high-pressure discharge lamp 11 can be adjusted to an optimal position of the first focus F1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
