<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which eliminates the print waiting time of a user by switching from the power saving state to the ready-to-print state appropriately when printing instruction is given from a terminal to the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 is equipped with: a switching means for switching between the power saving state where power consumption of the image forming apparatus is reduced and the ready-to-print state; a communication unit which receives print data containing the time information from the terminal; a registration means for registering the print data as a print job; a print unit which sequentially prints the jobs registered by the registration means; and a control means which controls the switching means to switch from the power saving state to the ready-to-print state based on the time information contained in the print data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
