<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion for a damping material compatible in heating drying properties and damping properties, significantly excellent in damping properties and exceedingly useful as a material of the damping material for various structures, and to provide a damping material composition containing such the emulsion for the damping material. <P>SOLUTION: The emulsion for the damping material, obtained by polymerizing a monomer component containing an unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and other unsaturated monomers which can be copolymerized, has a carboxyl group neutralized by a polyvalent metal salt expressed by M(OH)<SB>n</SB>(wherein M is a metal element of a bivalence or more, and n is an integer of two or more), and a constituent unit having the neutralized carboxyl group is 0.5 to 5 mol% relative to the whole constituent unit 100 mol% of a polymer composing the emulsion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
