GENE-INTRODUCING AGENT AND NUCLEIC ACID COMPLEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene-introducing agent having high gene-introducing efficiency and containing a branched polymer capable of reducing cell toxicity to a low state, and to provide a nucleic acid complex prepared by complexing the gene-introducing agent with a nucleic acid. SOLUTION: The gene-introducing agent contains the branched polymer using an aromatic ring as a core and having a plurality of branched chains extended therefrom. The branched chain has a nonionic hydrophilic polymer block obtained by polymerizing a nonionic hydrophilic monomer at the base terminal side and a cationic polymer block prepared by polymerizing a cationic vinylic monomer at the tip side, and the branched polymer is prepared by introducing the nonionic hydrophilic polymer block chain to the nucleus composed of the aromatic ring to form a primary polymer, and introducing the cationic polymer block chain to the primary polymer to form the secondary polymer.
