PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple continuous body-producing machine for the tobacco processing industry producing a multiple wound continuous bodies at the same time. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for operating the multiple continuous body-producing machine in the tobacco processing industry, in particular a method for operating a double filter continuous body-producing machine 6, wherein each wrapping material strap 10.1, 10.2 is conveyed through a format device 15 with individually driven format belt 17.1, 17.2 for a plurality of continuous bodies to be produced. The tensile stress of the package material strap 10.1, 10.2 before indraft to the format device 15 is detected as a whole tensile stress by a common tensile stress detecting device, each format belt 17.1, 17.2 for wrapping material strap 10.1, 10.2 is conveyed through the format device 15 by a common format belt drive means 18, and the format belt drive means 18 is adjusted depending on the total detected tensile stress of the package material strap 10.1, 10.2.
