PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for steel furring strips in a building, for reducing the number of corrosion-proof painting processes and welding processes, joining the steel furring strips each constituted of a closed cross sectional material mutually in high precision in a simple structure, and reducing burdens of workers engaged in bolt joining work at site required for mounting the steel furring strips for the building. SOLUTION: The first and second steel furring strips 1, 2 are constituted of molded products of pre-plated steel plates having a closed cross section and made of highly anti-corrosive fused Zn-Al-Mg alloy, and mounting hardware 3 is constituted of a molded product of a pre-plated steel plate made of highly anti-corrosive fused Zn-Al-Mg alloy. The mounting hardware 3 attached to the first steel furring strip 1 with a one side bolt 5 assembles a steel furring strips assembly 4 to the building after manufacturing the steel furring strips assembly 4 attached to the second steel furring strip 2 with a one side bolt 5 and connected with the first and second steel furring strips 1, 2.
