PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate generation of vapor within fuel.
SOLUTION: A control device for an internal combustion engine includes: a fuel property sensor 41 (electrostatic capacitance alcohol concentration sensor) detecting an alcohol concentration in fuel supplied to the engine 11; and a fuel-temperature sensor 42 detecting the fuel temperature. The alcohol concentration in fuel is determined based the output (alcohol concentration detected value) of the fuel property sensor 41 and the fuel temperature detected by the fuel-temperature sensor 42. Thereby, even if there is such a reason that the output of the fuel property sensor 41 is changed by being influenced by the fuel temperature, the alcohol concentration in fuel is found out accurately, without having to depend on the fuel temperature. Furthermore, attention is paid to a character such that the vapor pressure of the fuel is changed according to the alcohol concentration in fuel and fuel temperature, to thereby change a developmental state of vapor in fuel, and the presence or absence of generation of vapor in fuel is estimated based on the alcohol concentration within the fuel and fuel temperature. Accordingly, it is possible to accurately estimate the presence or the absence of generation of vapor within fuel.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
