<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system that suppresses increase in overall cost of the system, allows an image to be pasted on a display with easy operation, and allows smooth processing even when a plurality of persons operate a portable terminal, and to provide an image display method and a portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal 1 includes: a camera 4; an image specifying part 17 specifying an image to be pasted; a position calculation part 9 specifying the position to paste the image by using a position detecting image; a display parameter calculation part 10 specifying a tilt of the image on the basis of the tilt of the portable terminal 1, and specifying the size of the image by using the position detecting image; and an information transmitting part 8 transmitting data and information on the image to a server 2.
