PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic EL element of reduced manufacturing cost with excellent performance stability, especially, a stable one of reduced manufacturing cost and without leak current. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the organic EL element consisting of a first electrode patterned on a substrate, an organic layer containing an organic light-emitting layer arranged on the first electrode, and a second electrode arranged on the organic layer, includes a process in which the first electrode is formed by patterning with the use of printing of resist liquid or etchant liquid.
