An apparatus and method for protecting movable objects is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a compass sensor and a main circuit capable of receiving a signal from the compass sensor and sending a second signal to a control circuit to activate a security action. The method comprises determining a variation in a magnetic field with a sensor circuit, amplifying said variation, processing said variation in a main circuit, receiving the processed variation by a control circuit, and triggering a security action. The sensor circuit includes tilt compensation. The alarm circuit comprises an electronic compass sensor to sample an incoming magnetic field and output a signal to a main circuit, the circuit capable of processing the signal, and a vehicle control circuit to receive the processed signal and trigger a security action. |
