<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for allowing a smooth input operation, even on a device such as a mobile phone, equipped with a comparatively small touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: When the input operation is performed on a touch panel, visibly recognizable display areas (a, b, c, d) relevant to selection items such as a menu and selectable areas (A, B, C, D, E) for selecting and instructing the selection items are separately set.
