PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling ink drop ejection which has stable ink drop ejection characteristics and high reliability. SOLUTION: In the case that a medium to be recorded is conveyed at a constant speed, a period of driving timing calculated from resolution and scanning speed of an inkjet recorder is specified as a specified time, when a time interval of a (n+1)th driving timing, which follows an n-th driving timing (n is one or more integers), is longer than the specified time, an additional timing is set before the specified time in advance of the (n+1)th driving timing, and fine drive of an ink in a pressure chamber is performed at the additional timing.
