摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize control of vehicle behavior by more accurately estimating a vehicle condition in a vehicle behavior control device controlling vehicle behavior based on a reaction torque from a road surface. SOLUTION: The vehicle behavior control device includes: steering wheel angle detecting means 15 detecting a steering wheel angle of a vehicle: vehicle speed detecting means 11 detecting a vehicle speed of the vehicle; road surface reaction torque detecting means 16 detecting a reaction torque from an actual road surface generated to a vehicle wheel; target road surface reaction torque calculating means 17 calculating a target road surface reaction torque based on the steering wheel angle and the vehicle speed; and a vehicle condition detector 18 detecting a vehicle condition based on the actual road surface reaction torque and the target road surface reaction torque and making vehicle condition detecting signals an output for controlling the vehicle behavior. This device has a predetermined dead zone a for either one or both of the road surface reaction torque and the target road surface reaction torque. Based on this predetermined dead zone, an erroneous control caused by the phase shift between the actual road surface reaction torque and the target road surface reaction torque is optimized.
