PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device for an engine reducing residual of unburned hydrocarbon HC by appropriately controlling fuel injection timing in cold start. SOLUTION: This device controlling fuel injection of a fuel injection valve (53) disposed in an intake port (23) includes an intake valve control part (S2) changing valve open timing of the intake valve (23) in cold start, a blow back quantity estimation part (S3) estimating blow back quantity of exhaust gas flowing to the intake port (22) when the intake valve (23) opens, and a fuel injection timing control part (S4-S7) controlling fuel injection timing according to the blow back quantity until temperature of the intake valve (23) rises to temperature at which fuel can be evaporated from cold start.
