PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet apparatus which facilitates cleaning of a seal material for preventing the intrusion of filthy water into the gap between the casing of a private-part washing device etc. and a toilet bowl, or which facilitates the cleaning of the gap between them, etc. SOLUTION: This toilet apparatus includes: the toilet bowl with a bowl; the casing which is installed on a top surface of the toilet bowl outward from the bowl, and which has functional components built-in; the seal material which is provided at least either on the top surface of the toilet bowl or the under surface of the casing, and which inhibits the intrusion of the water into the gap between the toilet bowl and the casing; a fixing implement for mounting the rear side of the casing on the toilet bowl; and a lifting and lowering device which lifts the front side of the casing from the top surface of the toilet bowl, and which separates the seal material from either one of the top surface of the toilet bowl or the under surface of the casing.
