PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device that stably controls a load. SOLUTION: The switching device includes a switching element (2) and a control circuit (8) for PWM-controlling the switching element, and feeds input power to the load by the switching operation of the switching element. The switching device is characterized in that the control circuit periodically repeats the holding and reset of a duty ratio of PWM-control, and PWM-controls the switching element at the same duty ratio immediately before the switching device is brought into abnormal conditions and immediately after the switching device is returned to normal conditions from the abnormal conditions.
