Disclosed is a method for producing an excellently reliable multilayer film in which at least two resin films are bonded together and adhesion between bonded surfaces is improved. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a multilayer film that has at least two resin films bonded together, which comprises: a fluorination step wherein at least a region of the surface of at least one of the two resin films is brought into contact with a processing gas that contains fluorine atoms and oxygen atoms, so that the adhesion at the region is improved; and a bonding step wherein the two resin films are bonded together in such a manner that the surface, which has been brought into contact with the processing gas, serves as a bonding surface.
