The vehicle (1) has an electric motor (4) operating on a drive axle (3) of vehicle wheels (2). Generators (7) are connected to a rechargeable high-voltage battery (5) i.e. lithium-ion battery, and are coupled to the vehicle wheels for generating electrical energy for self-charging of the high-voltage battery based on rotational movements of the vehicle wheels. A fuel cell stack is electrically connected with the electric motor and/or the high-voltage battery for provision of additional electrical energy, where the fuel cell stack is connected to a hydrogen tank.
