PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slit protection device of high versatility. SOLUTION: This slit protection device is used for a side ditch provided with a flow channel in an inside, and provided with a slit communicated with the flow channel for collecting water in an upper wall, and protects the slit, and the slit protection device includes the first cover for covering the first side face of the slit and the first side face peripheral edge part in an upper face of the side ditch, and extended along a longitudinal direction of the slit, the second cover for covering the second side face opposed to the first side face of the slit and the second side face peripheral edge part in the upper face of the side ditch, and extended along the longitudinal direction of the slit, and a push stop member provided between the first cover and the second cover, for push-stopping the first cover to the first side face, and for push-stopping the second cover to the second side face.
