PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of computation required for searching to be performed for determining whether a correlation peak value of a target satellite has been affected by intercorrelation or not. SOLUTION: When a reception level of the target satellite is equal to a reception-level threshold value THR1 or less (step S202:NO) and an absolute value of a frequency difference between the carrier frequency of the target satellite and the carrier frequency of another satellite or a visible satellite is less than a frequency-difference threshold value THR2 (step S204 and S205:YES) at a receiver, the receiver searches for the target satellite again at a reference frequency obtained by shifting the carrier frequency of the target satellite by N kHz (Step S206). When a correlation peak value to detected signals from the target satellite are greater than the correlation threshold value THR4 (step S207:YES) when the target satellite is searched for again at the reference frequency, the tracking of the target satellite is discontinued.
