Disclosed are a hardening quality inspection device and a hardening quality inspection method which are such that by means of nondestructive inspection, the quality of inspection objects can be inspected with high accuracy. The aforementioned deceive and method are provided with energizing electrodes (2, 2) which are to be brought into contact with the surface of an inspection object (1), a power supply (4) for applying alternating current to the inspection object (1) via the energizing electrodes (2, 2), a magnetic field sensor (5) which measures the magnetic field generated by the current flowing through the inspection object (1), and a quality measuring means (18) which measures the hardening quality of the inspection object (1) on the basis of the magnetic field measured by the magnetic field sensor (5).
