alloy prodn. by continuous smelting and refining of Cu scrap, passed in "cascade" through several treatment chambers and charged, in fluid state, to alloying furnace, together with Cu-Zn alloy scrap and Zn is applied to pure Cu prepn. for mfr. of Cu articles, e.g. bars, and pig and for other Cu-Zn alloys, e.g. alloys contg. Sn, Ni, Mn, Al.
