<p>PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus to provide user interface using touch screen based on location and intensity are provided to increase the utilization of application. CONSTITUTION: A touch input unit(100) comprises a tactile sensor. The tactile sensor receives a touch input signal detected by the contact of the pointing object. A location process unit(200) distinguishes the contact location corresponding to the touch input signal. An intensity processing unit(300) analyzes the intensity pattern of the contact force corresponding to the touch input signal based on the output signal of the tactile sensor. A controller(400) decides the event corresponding to the touch input signal based on the intensity pattern of the contact force and the contact location. An output unit(500) outputs the event on a screen.</p> |
