PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone type coolant tank efficiently separating foreign matter (dust) from liquid, causing no deposit of foreign matter (dust) on a bottom of the tank, and removing floating oil. SOLUTION: The cyclone type coolant tank includes: a discharge port 20 discharging filtrate at the upper part of a cylindrical body 10; a subtank 22 communicated with the inside of the cylindrical body through the discharge port and temporarily storing the filtrate; a discharge pipe communicated with the subtank; a valve 30 in the discharge pipe, wherein by opening/closing the valve, the filtrate flow rate is controlled to thereby control the level of treating liquid formed inside the cylindrical body, so that the discharge quantity of oil flowing into an oil discharge pipe 32 raised at the center part inside the cylindrical body becomes adjustable; a foreign matter storing chamber 40 comprising a side wall and a bottom plate at the lower part of a conical body; and a foreign matter discharge port 42 at a lower end of the side wall of the foreign matter storing chamber to discharge the foreign matter through the foreign matter discharge port.
