PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for makeup cleansing, which is excellent in detergency against makeup soil, in sense of use, and in storage stability in a temperature range wider than that of traditional detergents. SOLUTION: The detergent composition for makeup cleansing includes one or more kinds of nonionic surfactants represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>5</SP>are each independently hydrogen or an 8-22C linear or branched saturated or unsaturated fatty acid residue, provided that there is no such a case that all of R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>5</SP>are hydrogen; and a, b, c, d, and e are each an integer satisfying the relation represented by a+b+c+d+e=1 to 60).
