PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer driving device which can be constituted of a small number of components and can realize stable constant voltage control in high output near a resonance frequency in a piezoelectric transformer and starting control in short time. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric transformer driving device 70 is provided with the piezoelectric transformer 75 outputting an AC high voltage, a piezoelectric transformer driving circuit 74 outputting voltage supplied to the piezoelectric transformer 75, a control part 72 outputting a driving pulse S72a to the piezoelectric transformer driving circuit 74, a digital/analog converter (DAC) 79 generating target voltage S79 in a reference voltage waveform, a rectifying circuit 76 converting AC high voltage which the piezoelectric transformer 75 outputs into DC high voltage, an output voltage converting means 77 converting DC high voltage into DC low voltage S77, and an output voltage comparing means 78 comparing the target voltage S79 with the DC low voltage S77 to output a comparison result S78 to the control part 72.
