PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel-driving device capable of maintaining the number of scan lines in one vertical cycle period at constant, even when a frequency of a vertical reference signal is changed. SOLUTION: The display panel-driving device includes: a clock generator 101 for creating a clock signal; a horizontal reference generation circuit 102 including a first frequency divider for dividing the clock signal; a vertical reference generation circuit 103 including a second divider for dividing output of the first divider; a switch circuit 104 in which the vertical synchronization signal from outside and the output of the second divider are input as input signals, and one of the input signals is selected and output; and a CPU 105 which changes an oscillation frequency of a clock generator 101 or a frequency dividing ratio of the first frequency divider according to the changes of the frequency of the output signal of the switch circuit 104.
