<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a fault generation part and to remove it by preventing the influence of interference light by light injection from an OLT (Optical Line Terminal). <P>SOLUTION: The optical network includes a housing station 200, an optical branch part 400 and a plurality of subscriber terminals 300. The housing station includes a station side device 210, a control signal generation part 220 and a multiplexer 230. The control signal generation part generates control signals for controlling uplink subscriber signals generated in a plurality of subscriber terminals. The multiplexer multilexes downlink signals and the control signals and sends them to the optical branch part. The optical branch part includes a demultiplexer 410, an optical splitter 420 and a pseudo switch part 430. The demultiplexer sends the downlink signals and the control signals received from the housing station to the optical splitter and the pseudo switch part respectively.
