<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle capable of securing visibility even if a picture is reduced in size to be displayed. <P>SOLUTION: In the display device for the vehicle which includes an image display device 1 for displaying vehicle information, and a control means 3 for controlling a display image displayed on the image display device 1, the image display device 1 displays an analog measuring instrument image 10a including an index 11 having at least a scale as a display image and a pointing needle 12 for indicating the index 11, and the control means 3 displays a deformed image where the analog measuring instrument image 10a is deformed so that the pointing needle 12 and the index 11 superimpose each other even if the length of the pointing needle 12 is changed following its rotational movement and the length of the pointing needle 12 is changed: the control means 3 greatly changes the horizontal width of the pointing needle 12 to be inversely proportional to the length of the pointing needle 12 when displaying the deformed image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
