<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner improving comfort by accurately detecting a position of an obstacle while minimizing influence by airflow in detecting a distance to the obstacle by an ultrasonic sensor. <P>SOLUTION: An indoor unit of this air conditioner is provided with an indoor fan for distributing the taken indoor air, a wind direction changing blade for changing the direction of the air supplied from a supply opening, and an obstacle detecting device having the ultrasonic sensor and detecting presence or absence of an obstacle, and the wind direction changing blade is controlled based on a result of the detection by the obstacle detecting device. Further in a case when the horizontal wind direction changing blade faces the detecting direction of the ultrasonic sensor in detecting the obstacle by the obstacle detecting device during the operating of the indoor fan, the direction of the horizontal wind direction changing blade is changed to the direction different from the detecting direction of the ultrasonic sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
