<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which early and surely prevents only either a development cartridge or a photoreceptor cartridge from being mounted to an image forming apparatus body in a constitution, where the development cartridge can be attached and removed to and from the photoreceptor cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: A pressing member 50 provided on a drum cartridge 18 is located at a first position, when the development cartridge 19 is separated from the drum cartridge 18, and is located in a second position, when the development cartridge 19 is mounted to the drum cartridge 18. A position detecting part 67 of a body casing 2 includes a light emitting part 68 and a light-receiving part 69, and detects the position of the pressing member 50, depending on whether the detecting light is received by the light-receiving part 69. A CPU 90 determines that the drum cartridge 18, mounted with the development cartridge 19, is mounted on the body casing 2, when the pressing member 50 is located in a second position, based on the detection result of the position detecting part 67. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
