<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for charging based on volume in accordance with the power consumption of each virtual machine by providing a calculation method for power consumptions of individual virtual machines in an environment wherein virtual machines are operated on a physical server. <P>SOLUTION: A server system includes: a state mapping table showing power consumptions per processing corresponding to respective operation states of physical resources; a power consumption/processing notification processing part which includes an operation state data detection part for detecting changes in operation state of physical resources and obtains a power consumption per processing corresponding to an operation state of which the change has been detected, from the state mapping table and notifies the power consumption; a power consumption calculation processing part which updates a power consumption/processing table wherein power consumptions per physical resource are stored, in response to a notification from the power consumption/processing notification processing part; and a virtual machine power consumption calculation processing part which includes a physical resource processing frequency count part for counting processing frequencies on physical resources and acquires power consumptions/processing of physical resources from the power consumption/processing table with respect to a virtual machine and acquires a frequency in processing on physical resources executed by the virtual machine, from the physical resource processing frequency count part and outputs a product between the acquired power consumption/processing and processing frequency as the power consumption of the virtual machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
