PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peeling device for rod-like vegetable which has excellent productivity and can be set in a small area. SOLUTION: Eight pairs of holding arms 25, 40 for holding carrots W are disposed on a vertically arranged rotary disk 13 from the inside to the outside at an equal distance. Holding members 33, 42 for rod-like vegetable to holde the carrots W are disposed on the holding arms 25, 40. The holding arms 25 are fixed to the rotary disk 13, and the holding arms 40 are swingably disposed on the rotary disk 13 and energized toward the holding arms 25. The holding members 33 are rotated by the rotation of the rotary disk 13 through a rotation-transmitting means, and a releasing portion for rod-like vegetable for releasing carrots W held in a pair of the holding members 33, 42 is disposed below the feeding portion for rod-like vegetable on the lateral side of vertically arranged blade means-holding plates 70A, 70B facing the rotary disk 13. Seven blade means 80 for peeling the skins of the carrots W are arranged from the upper side of the feeding portion for rod-like vegetable to the front side of the releasing portion for rod-like vegetable at an equal distance.
