PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical components of an interference type optical fiber gyroscope (IFOG) which can reduce cost by automatic assembly. SOLUTION: A silicon substrate of a silicon substrate optical system used on the interference type optical fiber gyroscope (IFOG) is etched so as to accept optical components. Those optical components include input optical fiber, pump source, wavelength division multiplier, isolator, polarization isolator, beam splitter device, PM tap coupler, relative intensity noise (RIN) photodiode, system photodiode, and output optical fiber. As optical components can correctly be aligned when being mounted on the microfabricated silicon substrate, they will be bonded and cured as-is to be completed.
